DESCRIPTION:
ECP 800 is a range of solid Silicone or Fluorosilicone gasket materials perpendicularly impregnated with conductive metal wires. The standard wire density is 140 strands per square cm. (900 strands per square inch). The impregnated wires are chemically bonded to the elastomer and are convoluted to minimise compression set. Compression stops can be fitted to help maintain the correct degree of constant pressure.
For normal applications Silicone is used. For applications where greater oil/fuel/agressive chemical resistance is required, Fluorosilicone is recommended.
AVAILABILITY:
In four forms: A) Monel wires in Silicone.
- B) Aluminium wires in Silicone.
- C) Monel wires in Fluorosilicone.
- D) Aluminium wires in Fluorosilicone.
See table below for sheet/strip sizes – ready fabricated or die-cut gaskets can be produced to customers drawings.
APPLICATION:
The ECP 800 range of flat gasketing provides excellent broad band EMI Shielding together with an environmental seal when compressed between flat machined surfaces.
