History
Built in Muncie, Indiana and entering service under No. 66775, this locomotive was named in 2017 after the famous and oldest serving Type 23 frigates in the Royal Navy, ‘HMS Argyll’. It carries the pennant number F231 on its bodyside with the Royal Navy white ensign and crest on the cab sides in celebration of the famous Frigate.
