Description
The material is used as a masterbatch and can be injection moulded to produce plastic articles with inherent EMI Shielding and conducting characteristics. The masterbatch is added at very low levels ensuring minimal effect on colour, mould ability and other base polymer properties. The use of this system allows shielded articles to be produced in one process without additional equipment, labour or secondary processing, and provides a cost effective solution to EMI Shielding problems.
APPLICATIONS
The material can be used in any plastic moulding application in which electrical conductivity or EMI Shielding is required. For example:
- Electronic Equipment Enclosures
- Computer Housing
- Telecommunications
- Printers
- Tote-Boxes
- Applications Requiring Static Control
MATERIAL SPECIFICATION
- A Masterbatch Pellet
- Stainless Steel Fibre 316L, 8um Fibre Diameter Bonded With 25%
- In Pellet Form, 4mm Chopped Length
